I've been painting for a while. My whole life it seems. But I didn't discover oils until my senior year of high school. Once you find oil, you never go back. I've painted well over 200 paintings thus far, and I still feel like I have no idea what I'm doing. Every canvas is intimidating and without fail, for a portion of the process I'm always positive that this painting will be the worse I've ever done and I should probably just throw it away now. And people wonder why artists are so emotional.
